Thermal Pitcher

Most thermal carafes with stainless or glass inner liners will hold foods hot for 8 to 12 hours, and cold for 8 to 24 hours, depending on the model. All-plastic thermal containers will hold a reasonable temperature for about 4 to 8 hours. The pocket of air, or vacuum, between the glass or stainless liner and the exterior surface is what keeps heat or cold from reaching the contents of the container.

Pre-rinse the inside with hot water, before adding liquids, to keep hot beverages hotter longer.

It will suffice to clean the liner with lukewarm water and baking soda. Dishwasher use can damage the liner, introduce water into the air space, and void all warranties.

Do not use dairy products, chemicals, alcohol, solid food or sticky products into pump-type thermal containers.

Stainless steel liners are more durable than the traditional glass liners, and easier to clean.

Special precautions with glass liners: Never drop or shock the thermal unit, to keep the glass liner from shattering. Never add ice to the glass liner. Never stir inside glass liner. Insert only liquids into glass liners.
