Welcome

The Mt Gretna Campmeeting received its charter on March 17, 1892. It has since meant many different things to many different people.

Since the beginning, the most earnest of the summer people have been members of the Campmeeting Association. Their season initially lasted about ten days, for the Bible Conference that has been held here every year. It wasn't long before their actual inhabitance soon expanded to include the entire summer.

Today, we have many year-round residents, including many retirees and working professionals, who get to enjoy both the summer crowds, activities, and devotion, as well as the winter calm.

Many summer people still come for the Bible Festival, and many come here for a respite from the heat and constant activity of the city. Many come to hike or ride on the great number of trails that surround the Campmeeting, and many for the theater and other arts.

All appreciate the heartwarming social nature of our porches. During the summer, this is where people renew their friendships every year.
