Etna Pizza Stone Set

The Etna Pizza Stone is made from the lava flows of Mount Etna, the active Italian Volcano located in on the island of Sicily.Comprised of 100% Food Safe Pure Lava Stone, a natural nonstick surface - no oil or butter is necessary after its initial curing. The Etna Pizza Stone absorbs heat evenly and will remain hot up to 20 minutes after heating. Cooking on the lava stone does not alter the flavors of the food cooked on it.

Before first use :

-Wash the stone with salt and water. Dry carefully.
-Once cleaned, sprinkle with extra virgin oil olive or vegetable oil. Rub in and allow to absorb for at least 24 hours.
-After 24 hours, dry excess oil off using a paper towel or soft cloth.

Cooking in the oven:

-Place stone in cold oven and allow to heat up with the oven up to 482°F max.-Once heated, using the pizza peel slide your pizza onto the stone to cook. To help prevent dough from sticking to the peel sprinkle with cornmeal.

Cooking on the BBQ:

May be used on the Barbeque, but must be heated slowly over an indirect heat source.

Cleaning and Care:

Once cool, wash with water and dry thoroghly. When washing Never use detergent or soap. For stuck on food use white vinegar and steel wool pad.
